Does EV10 Mac client for Outlook 2011 work with EV9?

Hello,

The compatability matrix says that the EV10 client for Outlook 2011 (Mac) only works against EV10 servers but we have EV9.

Has anyone ever tried it with EV9.0.4?

(I know there's an Entourge client but we're deploying Outlook 2011.)
